Jean Dujardin livre une prestation formidable dans une comédie noire inclassable, "Le Daim".Dans un film de Claude Lelouch, on se demanderait s'il s'agit d'un hasard ou d'une coïncidence. En 2002, dans Ah si j'étais riche, Jean Dujardin incarnait un vendeur dénommé Weston. Dix-sept ans plus tard, dans Le Daim, il double un veston au caractère dictatorial à l'ambition affirmée de rester la dernière veste au monde.

"La veste, c'est accessoire, précise-t-il amusé. Cela aurait pu être une bouteille. Je ne me suis pas amusé à jouer avec un blouson. Deux thèmes m'intéressent, et je pense qu'ils touchent beaucoup d'hommes. La fuite, le départ, tout d'abord. C'est quelque chose de fantasmant. Et ensuite, l'obsession. Certains vivent bien avec une petite tache sur la table ; moi, je vais l'enlever. J'en mets un peu partout de l'obsession : quand j'apprends un texte par exemple. Cela m'a parlé."
